Analysis of Wind Generator Impact on Power System Stability Using Eurostag Software
2008
Tatjana Malehotko, Andrejs Svalovs

The expediency of use and types of wind generators have been considered. Their availability in a system influences different aspects of activity, including on stability of a power system. In real existing systems stability is parsed with use software maintenance EUROSTAG is one of such means, and its use is expedient as in practice of university and the educational purposes. It has been considered two initial models with powers of generators 800 MW and 400MW, connected to a certain unit. Different situations have been considered, and the power failure in units after switching-off of a line has been discounted. The amplitude leaves in an asynchronous condition more. If the asynchronous condition infinite increase of an angle of the generator followed has been initially established. In the issue the actual scheme of drive of power should be lower. If it is necessary to disable a line in calculations it is necessary to take into account amplitude of oscillation. Power of the wind generator should not exceed 20 % of a power system. It is necessary for maintaining stability in-process systems, parameters of frequency and a line voltage
