Transmission Congestions under the Conditions of Liberalized Electricity Market

The paper considers the operating conditions of a power system with transmission congestions and describes the impact of transmission grid overload on the operation of the system and the power market. The paper also analyses the technical and organizational measures as well as the market-oriented measures to be taken for avoidance of such overload in the case of congestions
