Expert System for the Selection of Adjustable Electric Drive for Production Line

The article considers the problem of the development of electric motor selection systems for production lines taking into account the large variety of existing types of electric drives and control methods. The advantages of the industrial processes automatization are obvious thus the engineers often meet the necessity of development of such systems resulting in the designing of new production lines. The article provides the description of the mathematical model of the expert system and the procedure of the adjustable electric drive selection. The computational experiment of system calculation is given in the article. The example of application of the selected adjustable drive for production line is also considered.
