Analysis of the Actual Current Paths of an Integrated Matrix Converter
Electrical Machines and Systems: International Conference ICEMS 2009 2009

Integration of electrical motors, converters and control into solid drive systems is a common tendency nowadays. One promising type of drives is based on a matrix converter integrated within an induction motor. System of connectors "supply-matrix-motor" is an important part of the drive because it has significant impact on its reliability, losses and electromagnetic compatibility. The impact of spatial configuration of these conductors on the commutation of the matrix converter is analyzed in the paper.
