Study “Weave motif of the design component” will include a historical overview of cloth technology development and technology applications in different materials and artistic styles among the peoples of the world cultures. The main research directions are related to the mesh of technology and applications, as well as cloth design solutions Latvian. The publication reflects a small part of the broad themes that the study will be reduced to two divisions – weave room, interior and fashion design. The study aims to student audience, the future of producers, and new artists’ attention to very broad design possibilities of this technology development, taking into account the logistical, functional and aesthetic criteria. This is an important factor in the design industry in the development of Latvian is still new and little studied in the industry. The information gathered and conclusions reinforce the understanding of the design advantages that make a significant contribution to human welfare and the creation of the country’s total wealth building. Research directions are involving technology of basketry and basketry motifs of design. Basketry can be technology base, as well as ornament and free self-reliant element of design. Today art basketry, thanks to its shapes, structure and diversity, also displays artistic value outside its practical application.
