Investigations show the possibility of using waste products - E-type glass fibers for concrete reinforcement of Portland cement. Glass fiber covered with double-layer sol-gel film coating can provide a twice greater (9-12%) chemical stability in alkaline medium than those with no fiber coating (19%).
