About Some Education System Optimization Problems in Latvian

The second half of 2007 and 2008 characterized by global economic growth slowdown, especially in the developed world and in many developmental countries. Two articles published in the newspaper Diena "Losing control of the world’s train" which the author is K. Rogof, Harvard University professor, former IMF chief economist and Z. Merita's article "Europe disappear" analyst group Friends of Europe Secretary General and the editor of the political magazine "Europe World". When K. Rogof believes that today's labour restrictions are not a problem in an effective workforce continues to grow and now the limitation is the primary raw material limitation, then Z. Merit thinks, Europe's real threat is the increasing shortage of people to fill job vacancies. Since Latvia is an unenviable situation, both from the standpoint of raw material resources, labour, the main direction is to ask to be taken in the Latvian labor market and related educational development. Writing target is the education system changes and development directions since independence.
