Towards a Ubiquitous Informal Competency Management: Decomposition of Learner’s HCI Patterns
Conference ICL2009 2009
Armands Strazds, Atis Kapenieks

An incitement for the current research was given by being confronted with the problem of lacking adequate production system architecture that could reliably undertake to manage e-learner’s informally acquired competencies: be it on- or off-line. Zalktis client-server system, as presented in this paper, constitutes one possible step towards creation of a ubiquitous informal competency management system. During the current research and development phase, a decomposition approach of the learner’s human-computer interaction patterns is being explored, and how it can be implemented to serve for mass automated competency evidence detection.
