Degree of hazardous waste influence on Latvian economics is not proportional to their specific weight in total waste generated volume and in result of temporary storage the measure of influence can increase, creating additional threat to environment and people health. Hazardous waste influence expresses not only as harm, but also benefits which could be achieved by ecologically-economically efficient hazardous waste management. The estimation of economic influence allows improve structure of processes of technical and economic planning of hazardous waste management system. System of evaluation of hazardous waste economic impact is necessary not only for a choice of optimum technical decisions, but also for insurance of conformity with financial possibilities of the state, attraction EU grants. The main elements of hazardous waste influence on economic estimation are time and the price of the unit of danger. These parameters allow identify and control the main indicator of influence – eco-efficiency which estimation is carried out according to four criterions:1) influence on a society well-being; 2) influence on the state budget; 3) influence on the interbranch policy; 4) influence on introduction of the state operational programs confirmed in the National strategic document, realization of state development strategy.
