2009
Sarmīte Čerņajeva, Irīna Eglīte

Educating engineers in the technical universities should take into account today's information era and the labor market requirements, they are tasks that have to deal with young professionals - finding a job, ability to adapt the work collective, build your own career, failure to be able to change jobs. Program planning should be the universal and long-lived skills and abilities that would be useful in different spheres of life, and new engineers build their characters, which is characterized by acquired profession as helping him to be a competitive labor market. So university education attainment is just the beginning, a springboard for targeted education and self-improvement for a lifetime. Each teacher should be very well thought of the new didactic system for engineering teaching, various methods to promote students' motivation and independent work to raise the skills levels of future engineers.
