In this article the author describes some lesser known facts about his activities in different schools and in institutions of higher education in Latvia, the last years of his pedagogical activities and the reason for his being arrested in 1945. It was stated, that in 1944/1945 he was a professor at the University of Latvia and at the Agricultural Academy in Jelgava. In the Soviet era it was forbidden to cite his scientific publications, his master or doctoral works. Today he is cited, because J. A. Students is considered one of the most important psychologists of the 20th century in Latvia. His book ”General Psychology” was reprinted in 1998. He had written his doctoral thesis and registered it at the University of Latvia, but it was stated that he never got a doctoral degree neither in Latvia nor from any university abroad. The reasons for his deportation to Siberia were some articles which were printed in the newspapers in which he criticized the Soviet power which had established itself definitively.
