We are provided longitudinal evaluation of anthropometric data and determine physical fitness of cadets of NDA of Latvia in Basic Staff Officer Course (BSOC), Navy/Air Force officer (NFOC/AFOC) course Basic Officer Specialist course (BOSpC).We examined 62 persons during 2007/2008.ys.We have fixed and provided analysis of the height, the body mass and the body circumstances parameters. Physical fitness we characterised according results of Harvard step-test and standard physical (sport) exercises: sits-up, push-ups and cross country race. 70-80 % of cadets have height parameters in the interval 175 -185 cm. The body mass parameters have wide individual differences, 70-80 % of cadets have the body mass parameters in the interval from 70 kg till 85 kg. The weight-height index indicated the hyperstenic body constitution type, and tendency of increased body mass. The body mass was over the quota for 17-75 % cadets in different groups, that indicates the tendency of increasing the body mass. The physical fitness assessment was made by using results of Harvard step test. The physical fitness level corresponded to the middle and good degree in the examined group. There are 77.7% of cadets from BSOC group and 78.5% of cadets from NFOC/AFOC group in 2007y have middle and good degree of physical endurance and physical preparedness. There are two times more cadets in BSOC group (83.3%) in 2008y with good physical fitness degree then in NFOC/AFOC cadets group (41.2%). The physical fitness level in BOSpC group cadets was beneath the cadets’ physical fitness level in BSOC and NFOC/AFOC. The results of physical Standard exercises characterized physical endurance, physical strength level. The results in push-up test and cross country race in 2007y were higher (1.5 times) then in 2008y. The cadets from BOSpC group have results in standard physical exercises that were lower than in BSOC and NFOC/AFOC cadets groups.
