This doctoral thesis is dedicated to the investigation related to elaboration and improvement of integrated AC drive with induction motor and matrix converter. Methods for overvoltage reduction methods in a power IGBT and implementation of them in particular integrated drive have been investigated. A new experimentally tested bus bar configuration has been proposed. Active gate drive technique has been investigated by means of computer simulation and results have been experimentally approved. The laboratory prototype of integrated matrix converter power part has been built and experimentally tested. Economic efficiency of integrated matrix converter and induction motor drive has been evaluated.
