Abstract Researchers from National Armed Force Republic of Latvia in cooperation with researchers from Riga Technical University has developed methodological tool of fabric evaluation and identifying appropriate solution of fabric for the field uniforms manufacturing. The basis of this tool is developed qualimetrical evaluation system. The results allow governmental and local authorities as well as private officials set up requirements for technical parameters and increase level of the requirements for textiles in technical specifications for open or sole source type of procurements and even chose one appropriate if it is necessary. Private officials can use offered system and results as the basis to increase quality of the offered field uniforms from textiles aspect. The used qualimetrical approach for the developing evaluation system is universal and allows evaluating any materials based on the developed algorithm, only initiate operation requirements and testing procedures will be different according to material types to be evaluate
