Latvian Position of the Electricity Production and Consumption in the European Union Context

The article goal is the Latvian position of the electricity production and consumption evaluation in the European Union context. The volume of production and consumption per capita are chosen as estimated indexes. The results of the analyses are the following conclusions: the volume of the electricity production per capita is one of the lowest in Latvia- 0,79 toe; by the volume of the electricity consumption per capita Latvia belongs to the countries group with the lowest level of consumption index.
