Investigation of Clothing Values through National Culture Studies

Textile and clothing research has established that cultural values are reflected in person’s clothing choices. Clothing manufacturers, merchandisers and retailers would need to truck these values to be successful in targeting their desired customer. To gain understanding about the cultural meaning and significance associated with textile and clothing values and consumer orientations/behaviors data collected from different culture sites of Latvia are investigated. Results how background culture heritage can have impact on one’s clothing value system and acquisition will be presented in this paper.
