At present textiles and special clothing are being made of light-storing materials which in darkness give out the amassed energy in the form of radiation. Photoluminescence thermofilm, which is printed on textiles or clothing, is a material of such kind. The goal of the tests was to identify the alterations of light intensity emitted by such thermofilm in the darkness during exploitation. Textiles and clothing wear out mainly as a result of washing and friction. Therefore, the tests were aimed at identifying the alterations of the emitted light intensity when exposed to these two influences. The results of the experimental research reveal that printed material of this kind sticks firmly to the fabric and there is no occurrence of exfoliation. Furthermore, in the effect of both washing and friction, the intensity of the light emitted in the darkness diminishes. Therefore there is not recommended to use photoluminescence thermofilm prints in products which are frequently washed. During the first wash the intensity of light emitted is reduced by 4.8% and after 20 washings - 40.2%. The experimental results with the impact of friction on the photoluminescence termoprint showed that the intensity of light emitted after the first 5000 abrasion cycles decreases by 30%. To find the dynamics of changes in the period of the first 5000 abrasion cycles, it is necessary to make further experiments. In subsequent cycles the trend of the intensity reduction continues, but at a lower rate. To find the dynamics of changes in the period of the first 5000 abrasion cycles, it is necessary to make further experiments. However, one should bear in mind that other clothing may considerably wear out when used or maintained together with such prints. The experiments showed that the intensity of light emitted by photoluminescent termoprint over time in the dark decreases.
