In the process of fatigue testing it is important to register the arising of the fatigue damages at the earliest stage. This work shows the efficiency of using acoustic emission method on the example of conducting fatigue testing of pitch arm of EH 101 helicopter. There is given the description of a stand and methods of conducting fatigue testing of a pitch arm of EH 101 helicopter. The AE method was used for monitoring the arising and growth of a fatigue crack.
