The subject of this article is a real estate owned by state-owned joint stock company „Latvijas Dzelzceļš” (Latvian Railway), and in the body of this article analysis of the situation of the real estate owned by Railway is performed and development opportunities within railway infrastructure are reviewed in accordance with different influencing factors. During evaluation of the technical state of the railway-owned real estate and efficacy of exploitation, proposals are given for more effective commercial managing of the passenger stations and train stops as well as possibilities of the management and renovation of the real estate within railway infrastructure and more effective usage for railway land partitions is proposed.
