The Doctoral Thesis is devoted to the road transport planning optimization within logistic system. The usage of the micro-elements standardization methods in road transport for cities of Latvia with intensive traffic methodology has been worked out in the Doctoral dissertation using methods investigations and analysis. Either traditional or special routing methods investigation made into the Doctoral dissertation, the structure and specification of methodology are proved as well. It is possible to use this methodology to optimize transportation process by trucks within logistic system. Delivery time factor detailed analysis into logistic system made in the Doctoral dissertation; delivery time uncertainty in the modern circumstances investigated too. Lead time fulfillment and delivery moment accuracy factors analyzed as well. Improved city routes planning algorithm for auto transport has been worked out. This algorithm consists of 7 steps and it allows optimizing delivery process by auto transport specially in cities with unstable and intensive traffic. The basis of the algorithm is special elements of standardization methods application together with traditional traffic planning methods. It is possible to use Doctoral dissertation investigation results within different organizations such us Transport Ministry of the Republic of Latvia, Municipality of Riga Transport Department – to create and improve transport development policy, concepts and plans; education organizations as well as transportation companies to improve transportation processes planning by auto transport. Doctoral dissertation total volume is 151 pages; the dissertation involves 23 tables, 54 figures, 42 formulas as well as 8 appendixes.
