Given paper deals with the problems of world the experience in usage of the Earth thermal potential for power and heat production in industrial scale. A scheme developed electricity and heat energy production from hot dry rocks using ORC and Kalina cycle. Similar projects are problematic in Latvia due to limited resources of petrothermal heat.
