In the world numerous studies are conducted on plywood physical and mechanical properties to improve them by adding a variety of fibers, as well as improving the properties of produced adhesives. In production of plywood and bent laminated wood, two component adhesives are used on the basis of formaldehyde resins. These adhesives have short induration time and high resistance of form. In the article there are showed the calculations for optimal adhesives used in construction of plywood and bent laminated wood. The author describes the experiments where the plywood samples are glued with urea- formaldehyde and polyvinyl acetate glue mixture. Tests of physical and mechanical properties are carried out as well as the findings are provided in the paper. The optimal relationship of components of glue mixture is set out.
