The aim of this article is to explore the changes in the perception of truth created by the modern society as a net-type society. For conducting the research the author has applied a methodology rooted in historical and hermeneutical principles and used interdisciplinary, synthesising approaches from various sub-disciplines of philosophy, communication theories, mediology, as well as applied the sociological research data, all contributing to the critical analyses of the contemporary social reality. Several correlated tasks were put forward. The introduction provides insights into the potential of philosophy for discussion of the theme, then proceeding to the evaluation of the classical and postclassical philosophical theories of truth. The above mentioned information forms a background of net genealogy research with particular reference to the problem of communication, comparing its linear and net variants, through which the philosophical analyses of the problem of truth is carried out, highlighting the relationship of truth and net-type communication. Finally, the conceptualization of truth in contemporary network society is projected on the processes of social democratization. Modern communication networks could contribute to more adequate development of political perceptions, but at the same time they may complicate the social preconditions of the distribution and functioning of true knowledge. This brings the author to novel solutions of the problem of truth, interrelating the analysis of truth, communication and network structures, and showing the historical development of the above mentioned problem. The author also identifies the cognitive technologies that are already facing network structures, even if they apply a different conceptual framework. The article offers new definitions of several problems that would promote further development of social philosophy and communication theories, and it may also substantionally influence the understanding of truth and network communication in the relevant natural sciences, among the specialists of arts and communication, keeping the axiological significance of truth in focus.
