Copper-Catalyzed Cross-Coupling of O-Alkyl Hydroxamates with Aryl Iodides

The synthesis of N-aryl-O-alkyl hydroxamic acid derivatives by copper-catalyzed cross-coupling of hydroxamates and aryl iodides is described. The reaction conditions are compatible with standard hydroxyl protecting groups on the hydroxylamine moiety and are applicable to a broad range of coupling partners.
