Stakeholders and Human Resources: Socially Responsible Strategy

The goal of research is to describe theoretical aspects of concepts: stakeholders, staff and human resources, to analyse and evaluate common and distinct components of these concepts. There were implemented several research methods such as analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, logical and comparative analysis. Based on theoretical research and empirical analysis, authors provide a summary of concepts development and the vision on the concepts understanding if company realizing a socially responsible business strategy. Analysis and current situation identification is based on research of scientific papers, books and scientific researches results. Analysing the most popular definitions and classifications of the concept "stakeholders", authors conclude that stakeholders and organization interaction in almost all cases is mutual, the differences are observed only in impact closeness, intensity and importance. In socially responsible companies human resource management (HRM) and stakeholder interests become as a strategically most important elements of the management. Structured and perceived HRM and stakeholder management give companies an additional competitive advantage. In case of implementation of socially responsible strategy the company needs to find a balance between productive performance and social responsible action. Therefore, HRM is an important element of the management for the company, which focuses on sustainable development. However, it should be pointed out that socially responsible strategy implementation is possible mainly for the big and medium companies, which have a multiple stakeholders. Companies have to conduce to human resource ability to create and maintain according relationship with stakeholders.
