Thermoregulative clothes are those ones which keep heat сlose to the human body at cold weather and guarantee good thermal comfort at room temperature. At the international market there can be found such kinds of garments more and more frequently. Most of all thermoregulatory underwear clothes are produced for adults and for children’s elder than 7 years. In Latvian and internet markets it is practically impossible to find such underwear for babies and younger children. Therefore raises question about necessary of thermoregulatory underwear for them. There are adults and children’s physiology and thermoregulation compared, as well as explained necessity to choose the weather appropriate thermo-regulative clothing, which supports a successful function of thermoregulation. There are developed children underwear models, described choice of model and fabrics. At the conclusion are described trials with developed sets and other underwear’s (made from different textiles) to check the used fabrics for heat resistance and vapour permeability, and to set the changes of the child’s body temperature and perspiration wearing underwear made of different textile during the physical activities. In the experiments one boy and one girl who are 5 and 7 years old took part. There are processed and analysed acquired data which let to evaluate necessity and advisability of usage of functional textiles at children’s underwear. During physical activities children sweating process started later and it was not kept on the skin, but passed through thermoregulatory underwear. Permeability and drying processes were quicker than in the case of cotton and merino wool underwear. At the same time heat resistance is only little lower than in the case of merino wool.
