Impact of Social Infrastructure on Efficiency of Development of the National Economy

The beginning of the social infrastructure crisis in the country is envisaged in 2020, but it could reach its peak in 2040-2050. The country has established a strategy of energy efficiency, and one of the set priorities is increase of house energy efficiency ratios. The problem of energy efficiency increase in Latvian houses has become a state level task. It can be said that the process of house renovation and heat insulation in Latvia has started, however energy efficiency improvement activities is an important but incomplete step for prevention of the beginning of the social infrastructure crisis. Housing fund of Latvia (and also Riga) has several specific features among which the following can be mentioned: many apartment houses are amalgamation of different (reconstructed) apartments that have common external walls, staircases, roof etc.
