Synthesis of New Fluorescent 9-Alkyl-6-amino-2-triazolyl Purines

The synthesis of new push-pull purines bearing an amino substituent at C(6) has been developed. additionally, a long chain alkyl or tetraethylene glycol (TEG) linker bearing active functional group for futher derivatisation was introduced at N(9). These purine derivatives showed strong fluorescence with emission around 430 nm when exited at 270-275 nm.
