The planning of individual studies becomes more and more topical. Alongside the fast and diverse rhythm of life, people need individual approach to study planning. It ensures wider availability of learning for different social groups. The use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the process of studies makes it more attractive and more interesting as well as more adequate to the demands of the 21st century. They may be used as an additional tool for organization of the lecture, for the development of the learning materials, for the evaluation of knowledge, in communication, and so on. One of the ways, which allows executing the individual study planning, is the intelligent tutoring system. Reviewing different intelligent tutoring system, there emerges the tendency that all these systems can be divided into four categories according to the approach that is used to achieve the individualization of the study process. There are distinguished systems which allow to design study courses and separate systems which allow designing of study plans. Also there are distinguished systems which allow the learner to choose the sequence of acquisition of the subjects and individual choice of learning objects. In order to execute the complete personalized study planning process, the development of a study plan and study courses, as well as the choice of the sequence of course acquisition and the individual learning subjects must be united into one system and the pedagogical module of intelligent tutoring system must be completed by additional component for the individual study planning. Special tool is needed which allows learners themselves to design the learning strategy corresponding to their interests. This problem is solved in the doctoral thesis and as a result there is developed the framework of individualized studies planning based on the set of four graphs representing the structure of the study programme, the structure of the study courses, the concept maps, and the topics of learning objects. By applying the offered framework of study planning there is developed the prototype of individualized study planning system which allows the learner to perform individualized study planning: to create the study plan, to choose the sequence of study course acquisition, and to choose individually the learning objects. In order to represent the structure of the individualized study planning framework there are used graphs. They allow not only showing the structure in a transparent way, but also allow using the methods of structure analysis to calculate the ranks for the nodes of the graphs thus detecting the most significant nodes in the graph structure. Within the doctoral thesis the calculation for the ranks are carried out for the graph of the study programme, for the graph of study courses, and for the concept maps. The rank estimation for the graph nodes allows detecting the most significant courses in the study programme, the most important topics in the study course and the most essential concepts in the concept map. The main results of the doctoral thesis have been presented by 6 reports in the international scientific conferences as well as they are described in 6 publications in international scientific editions. The thesis consists of introduction, 4 chapters and conclusions. There are 195 pages, 92 figures and 8 tables in the main body, list of literature containing 173 titles, and 22 appendices.
