There are both content and form changes going on in schools and higher educational establishments in 21st century. The means of psychodrama are the basis of future pedagogical methods because it is a possibility to expand the spectrum of sense and emotional experience of those involved in educational process, as well as accelerate the pace of grasping the content of subject. The author of this article believes that using psychodrama techniques in educational process creates a possibility to achieve result in a more effective and productive way and make studying process more varied. Content of this article provides analysis of student's development needs, characterization of psychodrama methods in the context of educational process of university and four examples of appliance of psychodrama techniques in the lectures of subjects “Psychology” and “The basics of communication” in the Riga Technical university. Those examples are analyzed using Kellerman's criteria of psychodrama director's professional roles and framework and process model of psychodrama.
