This paper represents a study on application of energy modelling tool EnergyPlan for evaluation of different, predefined energy policy scenarios with varying penetration of renewable energy and flexibility sources in a national energy system for long-Term planning and decision-making purposes. The modelling results suggest that from point of view of socio-economic and environmental performance, the scenario combining active support of renewable energy and energy efficiency measures is the most sustainable. © 2019 IEEE.
