Thesis describes main parameters of lighting quality evaluation and reveals comparison of light output efficiency of different light sources, development of three LED street luminaires, and light output and LED power supply efficiency analysis. A classification of street lighting systems has been developed. The developed new lighting systems have been experimentally tested in real conditions at several test sites. As a result, a control system for lighting systems and LED luminaires has been developed that is adaptive to traffic intensity, using motion sensor data and dynamically recalculating the required lighting class, thus achieving maximum energy efficiency and ensuring the required traffic safety.
