Different static and dynamic non-destructive techniques, developed for the characterization of advanced composite material properties, have been adapted for the testing of nanocomposite samples with small geometrical dimensions. A determination of the mechanical properties and material homogeneity in the large billets prepared by using gravity casting into a mould has allowed to estimate the quality of the technology applied.
