To be able to analyse an organisation’s sustainability, it is necessary to monitor it through an indicator system. This system includes defined indicators at various levels and objectives, as well as an analysis of their interrelationships. The Thesis defines the concept of a sustainable organisation and examines various approaches to constructing an indicator system. Priority indicator groups were identified, strategies of Latvian higher education institutions and ranking methodologies were evaluated, and the correlations between indicators were analysed. A comprehensive approach was developed for the creation of the indicator system and the implementation of its monitoring.
