Isolated from pea beans dietary fiber (non-soluble polysahharides) has been tested as sorbent of Ni(II) Cu(II), and Fe(III) ions from solutions which do not contain organic substances, contain tris(hydroxyethyl)aminomethane and in the presence of mixture of amino acids (glycine, histidine, and β-alanine) or mixture of organic acids salts (tartrate, citrate, and acetate). The ability of pea dietary fiber to remove basic dyes Crystal violet, Malachite green, and Methylene blue from 0.1N NaCl solution has been shown.
