            Compressed air is one of the fastest force mediums for rotation and linear movements. Compressed air driven motor is able to reach the velocity of 500,000 rpm and higher.  For instance linear pneumatically-operated cylinder is able to reach the velocity of 10 m/s. Average speed range of pneumatically-operated actuators is 1.5 m/s. Hence, from the velocity point of view, linear actuators are on the first place in production engineering.
