Nano Crystalline Wear Resistant Coatings for Protection and Restoration of Ship Engine Parts
Proceedings of 12th International Conference "Maritime Transport and Infrastructure-2010" 2010
Margarita Urbaha

The present paper deals with creation of fundamentally new functional multi-component coatings applied with the help of ion-plasmous sputtering technologies. A restoration technique for the precision pairs of hydro fuel equipment has been developed. The obtained coatings are peculiar because of their enhanced wear resistance, low coefficient of friction, and good adhesion with the basic material.
