This experimental and numerical study focuses on the problem of buckling of cylindrical composite shells under pulse loads. Series of static and dynamic pulse buckling experiments have been performed to determine buckling loads of cylindrical composite specimens under different axial loading speeds. Numerical investigation on influence of imperfections has been carried out and the results are compared with the experimental data.
