The subject of the article is the investigation of biography of one of the Polish graduates of Riga Polytechnical School in the XIXth century. Special attention has been paid to his school years spent in Poland and to his studies in Riga in the end XIXth century. There have been mentioned Polish student corporations „Arkonia“ and „Velecia“ of Riga Polytechnical school. There is shown the memorial plaque, attached to the building of Latvian university in Kronvalda boulevard 4, for the president of the Polish Republic (1926-1939) and the outstanding professor of chemical technology Ignacy Moscicky, who was studying from 1887 till 1891 at Riga Polytechnical school. There are inserted tho photographies of two houses in Gertrudes street 19/21 and Skunu 12/14 where I. Moscicky „Ueber die Einwirkung von Monochoressigsaure auf Beta-Naphtylamin“ and its fate, the failare of the attempted coup on the life of the generalgovernour of Warsaw Joseph Gorko, the years of emigration in London, his work in Freiburg (Fribourg), the first factory of condensators in Europe in the Polytechnical school of Lvov. There is shown the seal of the Polish state president with his signature, his achievements in science as well as his graduation paper which is being kept at the Museum of the history of Latvian chemistry. There are reflected the proposals of I. Grinevich and I. Grosvalds to the Polish Embassy in Latvia on the attaching of memorial plagues to corresponding Riga buildings.
