The multiple stress creep-recovery (MSCR) test of bitumen 70/100
Aina Bernava, Remo Merijs-Meri

The Dynamic Shear Rheometer (DSR) Anton Paar RheoCompass™ testing device is used to perform the Multiple Stress Creep and Recovery Test (MSCR). The test to evaluate bituminous binders at high service temperatures, in particular to evaluate the stress or loading resistance. This test allows classifying binders at the high-performance graded temperature, according to the traffic loading, starting from standard, to heavy, very heavy and extreme traffic loading. It is the intention that this test includes nonlinear binder properties. In this study bitumin 70/100 was tested, according AASHTO T 350 at 58 ° C. The test was performed by testing bitumen at three points; the first sample was taken after heating at 140°C ~ ½ hours. Heating of the bitumen was continued and each subsequent sample was taken 2 hours after the previous one.
