Pēteris Rudzājs

Rapid economic changes foster the changes in knowledge requirements for labor. For educational institution to meet the labor knowledge requirements, it is necessary to monitor the education demand and offer. Education demand and offer compliance monitoring involves the process from retrieving and extracting information from relevant sources to finding correspondence between education information (knowledge, competence, skills) in various sources. Research mainly focuses on the model of services, which forms the architecture of the University-Industry collaboration support system providing environment for education demand and offer monitoring. In the paper education monitoring is discussed from the education demand/offer correspondence point of view by using mediated comparison method, which is instantiated in the software prototype. The main goal of the paper is to describe information technology solution supporting the mediated comparison and the prerequisites to ensure education information monitoring. One of the prerequisites includes the usage of automated document text analysis solutions.
