The gradient magnetic field effect on the behaviour of the swirling flame flow has been investigated and the field effects on the development of flame temperature, heat production rate, velocity and composition profiles are presented and analyzed for pelletized biomass of wood and wheat straw. The experimental results have shown that the gradient magnetic field enhances mixing of the flame compounds so increasing the combustion efficiency and burnout of volatiles.
