The aim of this work is to interpret the situation with the use of sustainable resources by taking animal rawhide industrial processing as an example. The importance of rawhide material effectiveness for sustainable development in leather manufacturing in the territory of Latvia is described. The paper plays an important role in identification and study of Latvian renewable resources. The main objective of the paper is to inform the society about the availability of leather resources.
