In this paper, during the freezing process of ice construction the laws of ice crystal formation and growth are considered with the help of the obtained foundry ice model. The growth of dendritic structures is described by means of fractal geometry, which gives the approach to the measurement of the dendritic surface area of ice model, as well as to the description of its crystallization front. It provides a possibility to investigate the processes of obtaining ice constructions, in general, and the ones, which are used in the foundry industry, in particular.
