This report is necessary as the background information for industry stakeholders to assess and understand the impacts of current port operations and future port development plans on air quality. It is also necessary to understand the effect of international emission regulations and areas of improvement for future emissions reduction. This study is the first of such kind for the Freeport of Riga and the methodology used is open for future improvements and discussion.
