Green Infrastructure Development – Challenge of the Modern Urban Dynamic Growth

The aim of the scientific paper is to analyse the aspects of development of the green infrastructure that is considered to be one of the challenges of the modern urban dynamic growth. The research hypothesis – development of the green infrastructure providing unification of the existing natural areas and human settlements is a strategically important process for the creation of the ecologically friendly urban environment, as well as for the satisfaction of the socio-economic needs of city dwellers without harming the nature. The main results of the study are related to the analysis of ecological aspects of the modern urban environment and the process of development of the green infrastructure.
