A fast simulation procedure for axially loaded ribbed composite structures is suggested based on the response surface methodology (RSM). The assessment of material degradation in terms of stiffness reduction in the skin-stringer zone is carried out to en sure the de sign reliability, thus acquiring a fast simulation procedure for an efficient and reliable analysis of the behaviour of axially loaded ribbed composite panels in their postbuckling state.
