Authors share experience about their developed and introduced a new ePortfolio system and method, and underline observable competence developments in students groups. The scaffolding environment in the sort of the ePortfolio system, chiselled and linked to the university’s main study portal, engages learners into more extended knowledge acquisition processes, activates their critical thinking and reflection abilities, instils responsibility for own work results and team members work outcomes. Research shows that the usage of such ePortfolio systems greatly improves users’ competences and their learning out-comes.
