The paper presents a procedure for mapping large amounts of experimental
measurement data in a compact and representable form, preserving information on the
properties of the research object for further investigations. The raw data set is compacted using
mathematical description of dielectric relaxation. This approach provides a possibility to
recover the dielectric properties for any frequency value, even extrapolating outside the actual
measurement range. It also favours the understanding the causes for the measured phenomena
and identification of imperfections within the measurement procedure.
