Nowadays high schools graduates need to be self directed and possess lifelong learning skills. They need to be creative, critical thinkers, problem solvers and analytical in their approach. Problem based learning (PBL) is one of the constructivist approaches where cooperation among learners plays important role in the learning method. The project based learning approach in PhD program of electrical engineers program „Computerized control of electrical Technologies” is discussed in this article. Lifelong learning educations, additional training offered by the university, as well as introduction of ICT tools are also discussed.
